POSITION PROFILE
Oversees the operation, maintenance, and procedures of IKON's financial systems. Improves business processes and supports critical business strategies by assisting in the evaluation, development, implementation, and end-user training of financial applications. Works with the IT and finance departments to meet business requirements. Leads multiple projects and oversees developers to ensure that specifications are met. Ensures that consistent practices are used throughout the company to maintain the integrity of the financial systems and management reporting.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Consults with end user community to identify current operating procedures and to clarify financial application objectives.
* Works with cross-functional teams to conduct business requirements gathering, gap analysis, development, conference room pilot (CRP) and end user acceptance testing (UAT), end user training, and provides ongoing end user support and maintenance.
* Responsible for the preparation and distribution of financial reports for internal/external use.
* Ensures that all documentation complies with company regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. May serve as a liaison with internal/external auditors.
* Compiles and analyzes cross-functional financial information. Develops integrated analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.
* Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.
* Assists in financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts
* Researches and evaluates new application technologies, upgrades, and custom modifications for implementation or conversion recommendations.
* Works with customers and vendors to maximize opportunities in process automation.
* Develops technical documentation to describe application development, logic, coding, and corrections.
* Applies IT quality assurance practices and procedures to test, evaluate and validate financial application data integrity, security and performance.
* Oversees website (intranet) and server administration including design, security, release, and maintenance.
* Responsible for disaster recovery, business continuation planning and Sarbanes-Oxley COSO compliance.
* Leads and directs the work of individuals and cross-functional teams to drive business strategies.
* Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS(Education, Experience and Certifications)
* Requires a four-year college degree (preferably in Accounting, Finance or Management Information Systems) or equivalent work experience.
* Requires five years experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
* Hands-on experience in accounting, financial application technologies, server administration, web development and have a good understanding of relational database.
* Direct management of four software development life cycles (SDLC) and enterprise-level architectures. Requires a successful track record on multiple projects, and excellent writing and oral communications skills.
